Dontae's Story

We are proud to welcome Dontae and his family to the TIES organization! As he enters 3rd grade, Dontae brings with him a calm confidence, a love of learning, and a remarkable drive that reflects exactly what TIES stands for.

 

Dontae’s academic journey speaks volumes. He participated in Gifted and Advanced classes throughout 1st and 2nd grade and continues to impress with his strong intrinsic motivation. His former teacher shared a powerful example: “We were learning about contractions in Language Arts. It was kind of funny because it was the first time I saw Dontae sort of stumped. Two days later, he comes to me during small group and he’s used his technology time to find a book about contractions and explore more about the concept.” His initiative and curiosity are rare at his age and show his deep commitment to growth.

 

Outside of the classroom, Dontae enjoys swimming, basketball, and singing in the church choir.

 

We’re honored to walk alongside Dontae and his family on this journey. We can’t wait to see all that he will accomplish as he begins this next chapter in 3rd grade—and as part of the growing TIES family.
