Irene was always bringing clients with disabilities home for meals and holidays and giving generously of her time for the sake of others while treating them as family members. She loved children and easily connected with them to offer encouragement and kindness. Lucy learned from Irene that the measure of service to others is how much of your own resources and time you give to people who need it and can never repay you.
